We’re early, growing quickly, and obsessed with building exceptional products. If you’re passionate about designing intelligent systems that make complex workflows beautifully simple, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Impact You’ll Have
You’ll lead the Payroll Plus product, our newest product line that simplifies payroll for blue-collar teams across Germany. Payroll Plus by Ordio is a modern, fully integrated payroll automation add-on built for shift-based & deskless workforces. It takes the data from the operational system (shifts, hours, absences) and produces full payroll (gross & net) including complex wage components like overtime, surcharges, etc. The goal is to reduce manual work, errors, and reliance on external payroll bureaus.
You’ll guide Payroll Plus from early MVP toward a robust, scalable product, balancing rapid iteration with reliability and compliance., managing a two-sided platform that serves both our customers (employers running payroll) and our internal payroll experts (the engine behind flawless execution).
Your mission:
Turn payroll complexity into a product that feels effortless to use ⚙️ Build reliable systems that integrate data from shifts, absences, and time tracking without friction Apply smart automation to help payroll experts and customers save time and stay compliant
What You’ll Do
Own the Payroll Plus roadmap: Manage priorities, run sprint planning, and track delivery
Partner closely with payroll operations to deeply understand process bottlenecks and translate them into product opportunities
Design and refine the customer dashboard and internal admin dashboard
Write clear specs for features, balancing technical depth and speed
Collaborate daily with engineering and your peers in product management, avoiding unnecessary ticket bloat
Shape the Payroll Plus experience end-to-end: UX, performance, documentation, and feedback loops
Define success metrics (e.g., payroll run accuracy, processing time, CSAT/NPS) and track impact of improvements
Contribute directly: Using modern AI-assisted development tools, you’ll be able to handle UI improvements, copy optimizations and quick-win improvements on your own (Basic front-end experience therefore is ideal)
