Job Description
Want to work on a leading multiplayer strategy battler for PC with a beloved brand? We're looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to support developers working on a live product with a huge and passionate audience. You'll work with a team of Demiurge engineers who are dedicated to supporting artists, designers, and other engineers at one of our clients. The ideal candidate is energized by supporting other developers and streamlining their workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Support client developers by addressing their usability issues when working with proprietary tools and workflows.
- Identify, scope, and address root causes of issues to prevent re-occurrence.
- Document common workflow challenges
- Advocate for improving code robustness and maintainability
- Advocate for process and tool improvements to increase developer efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years professional software development experience
- Professional software development experience in C++
- Strong programming skills
- Experience developing software using agile methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to apply software engineering practices to maintain code quality
- Demonstrated ability to achieve development goals with minimal supervision
- BS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.), or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proprietary game engine development in C++
- Tools development
- UI development with Qt
- Experience with crash reporting tools and crash debugging
- Developing and maintaining legacy software
- Working with external clients
- Working on large products with multiple development teams
