You’ll help design and implement features that automate audits, streamline evidence collection, and enforce privacy controls — directly supporting our mission to embed privacy-by-design into every Vonage solution.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain components of compliance-focused products such as privacy audit tools, regulatory reporting systems, and workflows for data subject requests.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and compliance teams to translate privacy requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Implement and automate audit and compliance controls, including evidence management, reporting, and risk scoring.
- Support privacy impact assessments and help document risks, mitigations, and compliance processes.
- Integrate compliance tools with core business systems (e.g., BI) to improve visibility into data flows and privacy management.
- Apply privacy best practices across the software development lifecycle, including data minimization, redaction, and retention policies.
- Contribute to documentation of architecture, controls, and data flows to support audits and ensure smooth collaboration with legal and product teams.
What you'll bring
- Strong experience in Java (Spring Framework) and AWS.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, with experience working on API-driven and cloud-native applications.
- Some exposure to compliance or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solutions such as auditing, evidence management, or reporting tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams — product managers, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
- Experience with or interest in data protection techniques, including encryption, redaction, and access controls.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Experience we consider a plus
- Experience or interest in AI-driven solutions for compliance automation.
- Front-end development experience (e.g., Vue, React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks).
- Familiarity with privacy and security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27701, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Previous experience working in large-scale or regulated environments.
How you’ll benefit
- Medical Insurance
- Glasses Reimbursement
- Life Insurance – Allianz Family
- Kafeteria – My Benefit
- Ericsson Care Line
- Discretionary Time Off (DTO)
