Your Role
As a BD Payments Analyst on the U.S. Payments team at Polygon Labs, you’ll be at the forefront of building the next-generation payment infrastructure that brings on-chain dollar access to global users.
Reporting directly into senior leadership, you’ll serve as a key analytical and operational resource, supporting business development strategy, deal execution, and internal coordination. This is a unique opportunity to blend your experience in traditional payments and fintech with the emerging world of crypto-powered financial infrastructure - all while working on a mission that drives real-world impact.
If you're excited about solving hard problems in constrained markets, collaborating across teams, and learning rapidly in a fast-paced environment - this role is for you.
Your Responsibilities
Drive sales initiatives for Tier 2 opportunities, with a path to Tier 1, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance deals through the pipeline.
Manage post–go-live account relationships to ensure successful adoption, performance tracking, and ongoing client satisfaction.
Support sales and partnership efforts through market research, lead generation, and outreach coordination.
Create and maintain high-quality sales collateral, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and internal briefing docs.
Assist with internal operations by tracking deliverables across legal, engineering, finance, and marketing, and driving task execution across cross-functional teams.
Analyze commercial structures and business models - including scenario modeling, revenue sharing, fee structuring, and volume forecasting.
Evaluate strategic opportunities including collaborations and M&A - conduct market intelligence, assess data rooms, and prepare executive recommendation materials.
Maintain internal tools such as CRMs, trackers, and performance dashboards, and contribute to internal reports and KPIs.
What You'll Need
2 - 4 years of experience in payments, fintech, finance, consulting, strategy, or business operations.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with comfort in Excel or Google Sheets - particularly in modeling, sensitivity analysis, and comparisons of commercial terms.
Clear, concise communicator with excellent written and verbal skills - capable of drafting presentations, memos, and client-facing materials.
Highly organized and adaptable - able to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong cross-functional collaborator - confident working with engineering, legal, operations, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in web2 payments e.g. card acquiring at a PSP - especially in roles involving deal support, commercial structure, pricing models, or product analysis.
Familiarity with crypto or blockchain-based financial infrastructure (DeFi, stablecoins, remittances, etc.).
Exposure to M&A workflows, partnerships evaluation, or strategic investment analysis.
Understanding of FX markets, and financial challenges in emerging economies.
Proficiency with productivity tools like Notion, Looker, Airtable, Google Slides, and CRMs (e.g. Salesforce).
Prior experience creating sales, investor, or partner-facing collateral.
