Pixaera is seeking a Data Engineer with deep expertise in building scalable data systems and a passion for empowering teams through reliable, actionable insights. Join us in shaping how data drives the future of immersive safety training.
You’ll be at the forefront of designing and maintaining robust, high-performance data pipelines and systems that fuel analytics, platform intelligence, and content personalization across Pixaera’s learning ecosystem. Your work will ensure data flows seamlessly across teams—enabling smarter decisions, richer experiences, and measurable business impact.

Non-Negotiable Skills / Experiences
Core
Significant professional experience as a Data Engineer.
Proven ability to independently master new concepts and technologies.
Strong skills in analysing business processes.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs to non-technical audiences
Excellent written and spoken English.
Self-motivated, independent and proactive; able to thrive in a fully remote environment.
Data Tech
Strong proficiency in writing Python and SQL.
Strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency with data warehousing tools like Snowflake and data transformation tools like DBT
General Tech
Solid software engineering practices: testing, code review, CI/CD.
Experience deploying data solutions to production environments.
Experience with performance optimization in data pipelines.
Experience with one or more public clouds (like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Nice to Have
Experience with Omni or similar data intelligence/business intelligence tools.
Setting up and prototyping solutions using AWS.
Experience working at/with education and/or assessment solutions.
Knowledge of any of: Golang, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Postgres.
Responsibilities
Build and scale data-driven features that power Pixaera’s learning platform.
Transform data generated from interactive e-learnings and assessments into actionable insights for both external and internal customers.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Ensure data systems are monitored, reliable, and continuously improving.
Expose data through data products such as APIs, dashboards, reports and exports.
Participate in designing systems and features to ensure integration with the data layer.
Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers and data scientists to integrate data seamlessly.
Advocate and implement best practices in data engineering and data governance.
Mentor and support junior data engineers.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
Strong expertise in Python data stack and SQL.
Experience deploying data systems to production at scale.
Understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and data governance.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Hands-on, pragmatic, and outcome-focused.
