Job Description

At Sport Alliance, we empower the fitness world with intelligent data solutions, and we're looking for a talented Data Engineer to be a crucial part of this journey. You'll contribute to a high-impact, visible role with direct influence on our product roadmap and strategic objectives. Your position in our team

  • Design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS services and own the underlying infrastructure

  • Be responsible for data models that support various analytical and operational needs for thousands of gyms with more than 10 mio members

  • Collaborate closely within the Data Team, and other engineering teams to translate complex business challenges into innovative, data-driven solutions

  • Driven data excellence and integrity across all stages of the data lifecycle by enforcing data governance best practices ensuring data reliability and trustworthiness

  • Continuously learn, evaluate, integrate or further develop new cutting-edge data technologies (e.g. streaming databases, data mesh) to maintain our competitive edge

Your profile

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with focus on Data Warehousing

  • A deep understanding of data architecture principles

  • Proficiency in Python and its relevant data engineering with extensive experience in working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GC)

  • Solid command of both relational (e.g. Postgres) and non-relational (e. g. MongoDB, Dynamo DB) database systems

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to debug complex data issues and implement robust solutions

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Familiarity with common data services like e.g.  DBT, Redshift Spark, EMR
