This is a remote position that must be based in a major metro area of the United States.

The Field CISO position is a pivotal customer facing role in Tines’ GTM organization that will assist in the growth and expansion of Tines in North America by acting as a trusted advisor and strategist to our key existing clients and potential prospects.

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with both customers and Tines’ internal teams.

Having a previous technical background in security, you will have walked in our customer’s shoes and therefore be familiar with the hurdles and demands that modern security teams face today.

You will foster technical thought-leading conversations and develop strategic technical relationships with c-suite executives at our customers and prospects, experienced industry technologists and business consultants.

Acting as a subject matter expert on all things security you will be able to speak with authority on how the Tines intelligent workflow platform can positively impact an overall security program for our customers. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to help build the Tines brand and business and be directly involved in top of the funnel activity. By leveraging your network, you will drive net new customer meetings for Tines whilst fostering and expanding our footprint in our existing client base.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the perception of the Tines brand, influencing product and market direction, and fostering a community of enthusiasts around our solutions.

This is a remote position ideally based in a major U.S. metro that necessitates up to 50% travel to meet with Tines’ customer and attend various events across North America.

What you will be doing:

  • Represent Tines at industry events, conferences, forums and webinars, participating in panel discussions on security and delivering compelling presentations on security, compliance and automation topics
  • Leverage your extensive network to evangelize the Tines brand and create fresh opportunities for Tines
  • Provide security thought leadership through Blog posts and social selling targeted towards the security industry
  • Continue to build your brand as a thought leader with a credible and trusted reputation within Tines, the North American region and across the security landscape
  • Provide product feedback and product guidance based on learnings from the field
  • Build relationships with our top customers and supporters and translate their needs by working cross functionally with product management, customer success, etc., to drive long term customer success
  • Be involved in high profile sales engagements to help understand customer pains and initiatives and to help position the Tines platform as a solution
  • Provide new opportunities for the Tines Sales and Solutions Engineering teams to showcase the Tines platform
  • Motivate and lead internal teams strategically and tactically to meet company goals
  • Work alongside of Product Management and Senior Leadership to provide customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence and influence long term product strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product to formulate executive level customer engagement strategies & value based messaging, including the product roadmap
  • Coordinate with internal industry experts to gather industry data of assigned accounts and improves planning.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the customers' business strategy and the direction of the industry.
  • Provide input and expertise on RFP/RFI requests

What you bring with you:

  • Proven track record of success working in modern security and compliance teams - 10+ years security experience, 5+ in leadership capacity
  • A deep understanding of the modern security tooling landscape, inclusive of AI powered security operations, SIEM, SOAR EDR, Cloud workload protection, container security, vulnerability management etc and compliance standards: SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO etc
  • An intimate understanding of the problems facing modern security teams today and how automation can solve them
  • A passion for becoming an expert in a software solution like Tines
  • Curiosity to learn new technologies from both a Tines and customer perspective and to stay abreast of current trends, especially AI
  • An excellent reputation within the security community
  • A passion for being customer facing and getting directly involved with existing strategic customers and high profile prospects
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Proven ability to speak at industry events - high speaker rating
  • Persuasive, influential and engaging communication style
  • Passion for staying at the forefront of security and automation trends and a desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events

Target Annual Compensation (salary + commission): $300K-325K + equity
