Job Description
Your career is an investment that grows over time!
Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing, opaque and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with over 3+ million users who trust us with more than $100 billion in assets.
Our teams ship often and make an impact with groundbreaking ideas. We're looking for talented people who keep it simple and value collaboration and humility as we continue to create inclusive and high-performing teams where people can be inspired to do their best work.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Develop and deliver real-time reporting and deep-dive insights on key outcomes related to Total Rewards programs, talent flows, and people-related spend
- Own the end-to-end modeling, forecasting, and tracking of our total rewards budgets
- Conduct rigorous analysis to measure the efficacy and return on investment (ROI) of all our total rewards programs, providing data-driven recommendations for program investment and design
- Lead all pay fairness and internal equity analyses to ensure our compensation practices are fair and equitable
- Model demographic and internal labour market changes against our total rewards programs and spend
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant work experience: You have 5+ years experience in an analytics-focused role. Experience in total rewards / compensation / people analytics is an asset
- Data & analytics: You have proven experience with advanced analytics, statistics, and predictive modeling. Proficiency in SQL and Python is a requirement. Experience in various data visualization platforms and tools is an asset (e.g., OneModel, Google Looker, Preset, etc.)
- Project management: You are highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You can independently drive results from scoping and planning through execution and delivery, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and deadlines are met
- Communication and collaboration: You are able to communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way for any audience. You have excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and teams
- Decision making: You are comfortable making sound decisions under pressure and ambiguity
- Attention to detail: You sweat the details. You know what top tier performance looks like because you have been a high achiever yourself
- Creativity: You are comfortable with thinking outside of the box and being open to new ideas. You are curious and take initiative to experiment with new ideas, technologies, and solutions
In the first six months of this role you will:
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of our current data sources, systems, and reporting mechanisms related to people spend and total rewards
- Build the foundational models for tracking talent flows, people spend, and total rewards budgets in real-time; and establish a regular reporting cadence for key outcomes
- Partner closely with the Benefits Lead to build a dashboard to better understand benefits utilization, spend, and ROI of key rewards programs
- Establish strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders across the People and Finance teams to deepen business context and build trust
