Overview:
Kreative Technologies is in search of an experienced Database Developer with excellent technical skills for setting up, configuring, and maintaining secure databases, as well as leadership experience in team settings. The candidate must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills as the candidate will be required to communicate with peers, management and government personnel. The candidate will participate in a team atmosphere and must have the ability to research and solve problems. The Database Developer will coordinate with the appropriate staff and management levels to deliver training and presentations. The candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of government policies, procedures, and regulations. The incumbent will also have demonstrated experience working in a government I.T. environment.

The Database Developer will regularly perform database engine installation, patching, upgrading & maintenance as well as database creation, user management, maintenance, and security & password management. The incumbent must possess proven experience with storage management, database performance tuning, configuration & parameter management, problem diagnosis & resolution, and disaster recovery.



Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain relational databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

• Perform data analysis, data modeling, and data integration utilizing ERwin or similar data modeling software.

• Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development. Automate system deployments and integrations with pipelines while applying the best-in-class orchestration and high availability principles to databases and associated applications

• Secure database environments according to NIST and DHA standards, including encryption of data at rest, in-transit and in-use with certificates and encryption and application of STIGs.

• Assists with training and presenting to various audiences utilizing I.T. applications and government policy and procedures.

• Ability to synthesize and evaluate information from a variety of sources, prepare documents, and provide insight to allow leadership to make timely and accurate decisions.

• Accurately and reliably create backup, restoration, and recovery of the application systems including, but not limited to, configuration files, settings, processes, permissions.

• Execute archive and data retention tasks to migrate data between tiers of storage to meet performance objectives and data retention requirements.

• Responsible for testing and installation of all IAVA compliance items.

• Performs troubleshooting, tuning, problem diagnosis, and problem resolution as needed.

Education/Skills/ Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.

• 15+ years of experience as a Database Developer or Administrator applying FedRAMP and/or FISMA standards in a federal government agency environment

• Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms like AWS or Azure

• Active Security+ certification preferred

• Previous leadership experience highly desired
