Job Description

Atmosera empowers businesses to redefine what's possible with modern technology and human expertise. Our exceptional experience across Applications, Data & AI, DevOps, Security, and the Microsoft Azure platform enables organizations to accelerate innovation, enhance security, and optimize operational agility. As a Microsoft Partner with nine specializations, GitHub AI Partner of the Year, a member of the GitHub Advisory Board, and a member of the prestigious Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), Atmosera expertly delivers cutting-edge, integrated solutions that deliver business value.

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering and GitHub Practice. This role is critical to building rock solid platform solutions for our clients. This role will involve driving technical direction not only with our clients but also working closely with our practice lead to drive technical business decisions. As an Azure Partner, we require deep technical experience in GitHub Enterprise and Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and secure, scalable platform solutions. This is a hands-on role and as such we would expect you to be able to deliver for the client and not simply design and lead.

Role Responsibilities

    • Architect and implement enterprise-grade platform solutions leveraging Azure and GitHub Enterprise.
    • Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
    • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
    • Establish best practices for GitHub or Azure DevOps administration, governance, and security (including GitHub Advanced Security).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable developer productivity and platform reliability.
    • Guide clients on golden path exercises to modern platform practices.
    • Work internally to upskill other practices on the technical benefits of platform engineering.

Required Skills / Experience

    • Deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Server (administration, workflows, security, integrations, Enterprise Managed Users).
    • Experience with GitHub Copilot and the developer workflow enhancements it brings to the table.
    • Experience utilizing Agents and MCP servers in the developer workflow.
    • Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (Code Scanning, Secret Scanning).
    • Have lead source control system migrations from migration planning to execution.
    • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
    • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices as they pertain to the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architecture.
    • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
    • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have Skills

    • Familiarity with Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, and compliance frameworks.
    • Experience with architecting Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, identity, security).
    • Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, Consul, or other secrets management tools.
    • Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
    • Understanding of multi-cloud strategies and hybrid environments.
    • Experience with observability stacks (ELK, OpenTelemetry).
    • Certifications: AZ-400 or GitHub certifications.
    • Background in platform engineering and site reliability principles.
    • Experience in enterprise-scale automation and compliance frameworks.
$165,000 - $180,000 a year
This is a contractor position in the United States with the ability to work from home but may require travel to a client site.
