Job Summary
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, this role is responsible for owning the AWS infrastructure end-to-end in a highly hands-on capacity, focused on designing, deploying, and operating cloud environments with strong principles of automation and reliability. It involves managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing secure secrets management through AWS Secrets Manager, and developing automation scripts in Python and Bash to eliminate manual processes. The platform operates بالكامل on AWS, requiring work across core services, containers, monitoring, and observability, while partnering closely with software engineers to troubleshoot production issues and step in wherever necessary to maintain system stability, security, and performance. Cost visibility and optimization are also essential, including the implementation of guardrails, monitoring, and alerts to prevent unnecessary spending caused by misconfigurations or inefficient code, ensuring sustainable scalability. Overall, the position is ideal for a DevOps professional with strong AWS expertise, an automation-first mindset, and a proactive sense of ownership over cloud reliability, security, and efficiency within a healthcare-grade environment.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Liderar el diseño y la gestión del entorno cloud utilizando Pulumi, garantizando infraestructura reproducible y controlada por versiones.
CI/CD Leadership: Arquitectar y mantener pipelines de despliegue robustos con GitHub Actions, optimizando el flujo de desarrollo a producción para aplicaciones Python/Django y React.
Security & Compliance: Colaborar con equipos de ingeniería y liderazgo para mantener una alta postura de seguridad, utilizando Vanta para automatizar cumplimiento y asegurar que el sistema EHR cumpla los más altos estándares de protección de datos.
AWS Cloud Excellence: Optimizar y escalar el ecosistema AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) para soportar aplicaciones distribuidas de alto rendimiento.
Operational Reliability: Implementar sistemas avanzados de monitoreo, logging y alertas en producción para garantizar disponibilidad 24/7 de servicios críticos.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Trabajar de forma cercana con ingenieros de software para definir requerimientos e implementar mejores prácticas dentro de un entorno Ágil.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Professional Experience: 8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Application Engineering with integrated Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
AWS Expertise: Advanced, in-depth knowledge of AWS, with extensive experience deploying and managing scalable, cloud-native architectures.
IaC Proficiency: Proven track record using Pulumi (or similar tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation) to manage complex infrastructure.
Automation Mindset: Strong experience building CI/CD workflows in GitHub and automating manual processes.
Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes for managing microservices.
Observability: Advanced knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic.
Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
