Job Description

Holycode is looking for a Fullstack Engineer - Prototyping & AI Integration to join our CASUS team. CASUS simplifies legal compliance with AI-powered tools. Their mission is to make complex workflows intuitive and efficient for businesses worldwide.

Intro:
CASUS is rebuilding the core tool stack of the legal industry from the ground up.

Lawyers still work in workflows designed decades ago: fragmented tools, manual reviews, static templates, and compliance processes that don’t scale. We think that’s unacceptable in an AI-first world.

Founded in 2019 and based in Zurich, CASUS is a fast-growing team of engineers, legal experts, and designers working at the intersection of LLMs, document intelligence, and real production systems. Our platform helps legal teams draft, review, and analyze contracts faster and more accurately, while meeting strict European compliance and security requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to shape a product, work with cutting-edge tech, and see their code in the hands of real users - fast.
Tasks:
  • Prototyping: Rapidly validate new features (e.g., AI agents, Word Add-ins) with POCs
    and iterate based on feedback.
  • AI Integration: Experiment with AI frameworks (LangChain, Azure LLMs) to enhance their
    product’s capabilities.
  • Backend Development: Build and maintain scalable APIs, database schemas
    (Firestore), and cloud services (Google Cloud).
  • Frontend Development: Work on frontend components (React, TypeScript)
  • Testing & QA: Ensure code quality with automated tests and contribute to their CI/CD
    pipelines.
  • Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for features, from design to deployment.

Requirements:
  • Essential:
    • 3+ years of Fullstack development with a backend focus (Node.js, TypeScript).
    • Comfortable working with AI-assisted development and evaluating, refining AI-generated code
    • Experience with NoSQL databases (Firestore or similar) and cloud platforms (Google
    • Cloud/Azure).
    • Prototyping skills: Ability to build quick POCs (proof-of-concept) and iterate.
    • Startup mentality: Comfortable with ambiguity and building products from scratch.
    • Collaboration: Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and mentoring others.
       
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, etc.) or Office.js (Word Add-ins).
    • Knowledge of legal/Compliance-tech or similar domains.
    • German language skills (not required).
       
  • Soft Skills:
    • Proactive and curious – you love solving problems creatively.
    • User-focused – you care about building products that people actually want to use.
