Software Engineer - AI Editing Framework

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in designing and developing Prezi, a full-cycle presentation platform used by millions worldwide.

This role focuses on developing the cutting-edge, AI-driven presentation creation workflow of Prezi Present (our flagship product) along with crafting tooling, system design and architecture to support it. 

What You’ll Do 

• Work on the next generation framework and architecture of the Prezi Present Editor, enabling teams across Prezi to build agentic features.
• Expand and maintain the framework to support an AI-driven contextual editing flow.
• Write high-quality code in a complex codebase to ensure a smooth, optimal user experience, even in low-resource environments or poor network conditions.

Your efforts will directly impact millions of presenters and audiences, helping them craft and deliver compelling visual stories. You’ll work in a cross-functional team and report to Ashutosh Kumar Jha, our Senior Engineering Manager. 

We’d love to talk to you if you:

• Have experience in software development with statically typed languages (e.g., C++, C#, Java, or TypeScript).
• Are passionate about AI-driven products and have a deep product mindset.
• Are excited to learn other coding languages or tech stacks as needed.
• Are self-driven and bring a thoughtful, structured approach to your work.
• Communicate effectively in English with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Exhibit a high sense of self-sufficiency and ownership in your work.

While not required, experience with the following will make you stand out:

• Familiarity with AI APIs, frameworks and tools.
• Background in backend technologies like Node.js and cloud services.
• Systems that prioritize async communication, memory usage efficiency, and performance.
