LastPass is looking for a Staff Full Stack Engineer:

In this role, you will work within the Core Services Cluster at LastPass, focusing on key areas such as authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and passwordless login solutions. With experience in both frontend and backend development, you will play a key role in overseeing complex features across the client side and backend logic, while also contributing to the LastPass browser extension.

About the team
You will be part of a cross-functional team of experienced and motivated engineers dedicated to building the core fundamentals of LastPass. The team tackles complex projects each quarter to continuously improve the product.

Who will you work with?

You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to shape the future of the product and define effective strategies for software verification. As part of a scrum team, you will help ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You’ll also work alongside agile teams focused on authentication-related development and maintenance, and partner with the support team to assess incoming issues, prioritizing and resolving customer concerns efficiently and effectively.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Take a leading role in enhancing and expanding LastPass to better serve users worldwide
  • Participate in requirement analysis, high-level planning, and estimation. Collaborate with product owners and UX designers to deliver features on time
  • Advocate for thorough analysis and resolution of non-functional requirements, including security, usability, and performance
  • Support Product Management in balancing cost and benefits while managing and reducing technical debt
  • Develop, test, and maintain solutions within your team’s domain
  • Collaborate with other teams across the product
  • Create and maintain internal technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Contribute to community-driven decision-making, maintain coding and design guidelines, and influence the technical roadmap
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Collaborative mindset and effective team participation
  • Solid knowledge and experience with React
  • Experience with Styled Components
  • Familiarity with Redux and Saga Middleware
  • Experience in test automation using Jest and React Testing Library
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Backend experience with technologies such as PHP or .NET
  • Understanding and application of software development best practices
  • Ability to manage complex tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and big-picture thinking
  • Effective knowledge transfer and mentoring capabilities
  • Ownership of the full lifecycle of changes - from planning and development to deployment and customer feedback

It's great, but not required:

  • Experience with browser extension development
