About the role

We’re looking for a Performance Video Editor who can transform raw footage into high-impact, conversion-driving ads across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is ideal for an editor who understands the art of storytelling and the science of performance—someone who can balance fast-paced experimentation with strong creative craft. You’ll work closely with Growth and Creative Strategy teams to bring new ideas to life, introduce fresh editing styles, and help elevate the standard for all performance videos. This is a highly collaborative, high-velocity role where your work directly fuels growth and creative testing across the business.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high trust work environment and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:

  • Edit engaging, platform-native video ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube using existing content libraries, UGC, product footage, and motion assets.
  • Develop new pacing styles, hooks, and storytelling structures to introduce creative diversity into our testing roadmap.
  • Execute motion graphics elements including captions, kinetic type, transitions, light animation, and visual enhancements.
  • Produce channel-specific variations with a strong emphasis on scaling YouTube, an underutilized but high-opportunity platform.
  • Iterate quickly based on performance insights, creative direction, and experimentation goals.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow, delivering fast-turnaround edits without compromising craftsmanship.
  • Potential to mentor VA/Jr. teammates and share best practices around motion and performance editing.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 2-4 years of experience editing performance, social-first, or short-form video content for DTC brands, agencies, or high-growth companies.
  • Understands performance metrics and knows how to edit for thumbstop, retention, CTR, VTR, and conversion.
  • Can look at a library of assets and independently build compelling videos without needing a detailed brief.
  • Is equally strong in pacing, rhythmic editing, story structure, and visual polish.
  • Has motion graphics experience (After Effects or equivalent) and can elevate footage with captions, animation, or graphics when needed.
  • Works extremely fast and thrives in a rapid test-and-learn environment with shifting priorities.
  • Is excited to push creative boundaries while still staying true to the brand’s identity across every channel.

At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package—grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is between $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience.
