Job Description
We are looking for a part-time Video Editor to turn existing raw footage into engaging short-form content. You’ll work primarily on an eCommerce brand in the automotive seat cover space, with additional projects supporting other business ventures and a growing personal brand.
This role is ideal for someone who understands short-form storytelling, pacing, and retention—and can consistently turn raw clips into scroll-stopping content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
- Organize and manage large libraries of existing footage and creative assets
- Cut, trim, and sequence clips to tell clear, compelling stories aligned with brand voice and marketing goals
- Add basic motion graphics, text overlays, captions, transitions, and sound/music as needed
- Collaborate with the marketing lead and scriptwriter to align edits with content strategy and campaign objectives
- Iterate on edits based on feedback and performance insights from prior content
- Maintain a consistent visual style across brands while respecting each brand’s unique identity
- Manage tasks, deadlines, and priorities within ClickUp
Role Details
- Engagement: Part-time (20 hours per week to start)

- Primary focus on an eCommerce automotive seat cover brand
- Additional work supporting other business ventures and the founder’s personal brand
- Location: Remote
- Schedule: Flexible, with some overlap for collaboration and reviews
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio of short-form social content
- Strong understanding of social media formats, hooks, pacing, and retention tactics
- Proficiency in at least one professional editing tool (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc.)
- Comfortable working with large volumes of raw footage and organizing content efficiently
- Basic knowledge of sound design, color correction, and simple motion graphics/text
- Ability to interpret scripts or briefs and translate them into engaging edits
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Familiarity with general AI tools for editing assistance, ideation, or workflow efficiency is a plus
