About the role

As an AI Engineer, you will design and deliver advanced AI and GenAI solutions that enhance insurance products and services across areas such as underwriting, claims processing, risk assessment, and customer service. This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, cloud-native systems, and business impact, offering the opportunity to work on agentic AI systems and production-grade AI applications in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and deploy AI and GenAI applications in enterprise environments, following established SDLC standards
    • Build Task, Domain, and Orchestrator AI Agents using multi-agent frameworks
    • Design and implement Agentic AI systems, including memory, guardrails, orchestration, trace management, evaluation frameworks, and tool marketplaces
    • Integrate AI and GenAI applications into existing systems and workflows, ensuring reliability and scalability
    • Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that support AI applications and agents efficiently
    • Monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of AI applications, agents, and agentic systems through robust evaluation practices
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, platform engineers, data engineers, solution engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
    • Stay up to date with the latest AI and machine learning advancements and apply relevant innovations to active projects
    • Produce clear technical documentation, share knowledge, and contribute to upskilling the wider engineering team

Requirements

    • Strong full-stack engineering experience, including DevOps-oriented, code-as-infrastructure approaches
    • Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
    • Proven experience building cloud-native solutions, with Azure preferred experience with services such as Azure Functions, APIM, Azure AI Foundry, Resource Groups, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and Key Vault
    • Practical experience developing GenAI applications, including: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG),  Prompt and context engineering, Embeddings and chat completions, Integrating with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs. 
    • Strong understanding of Agentic AI architectures, including: LLMs and Model Context Protocols (MCP), Agent hierarchies and orchestration and Memory management, traceability, and evaluation frameworks. 
    • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Node.js and ReAct-style reasoning patterns

Nice to have

    • Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated or enterprise environments, such as insurance or financial services
    • Prior exposure to AI governance, guardrails, and responsible AI practices
    • Experience working closely with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into AI-driven solutions
    • Interest in mentoring, documentation, and building shared AI engineering standards
