Job Description
We’re VOID Interactive, the kick-ass team behind the best-selling FPS game Ready or Not, which has sold over 13 million copies across all platforms. We’re a fully remote, 70+ person studio made up of seriously talented individuals from all over the world who love games and creating exceptional experiences for players.
Role Overview:
As our Monetization Specialist, you’ll own how VOID Interactive turns player engagement into sustainable, player-first revenue across our live service ecosystem. You will lead the strategy and execution behind monetization systems, pricing, offers, and the broader game economy, balancing commercial performance with a high-quality player experience.
This role calls for someone strategic, analytical, and deeply experienced in F2P and live service monetization. The role itself is a studio role, meaning you will be attached to multiple projects. You should be comfortable building long-term monetization frameworks while responding quickly to player behaviour, market shifts, and the evolving needs of a live game. You will work closely with product, design, analytics, and studio leadership to ensure monetization is smart, ethical, and built for longevity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the direction for how live service content generates value for both players and the business, with a strong emphasis on customization, identity, and long-term engagement.
- Shape and ship monetization features in close collaboration with design, production, and engineering, turning concepts into scalable systems and consistent content drops.
- Coordinate monetization execution across the live calendar, supporting seasonal beats, in-game merchandising, promotions, and special initiatives while keeping delivery realistic and sustainable.
- Establish clear ways of working with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure content is produced efficiently and lands with quality, clarity, and the right player context.
- Stay close to player feedback and performance signals, regularly reviewing how monetized content impacts satisfaction, retention, and sentiment, and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Maintain an informed point of view on the category by tracking market shifts and comparable titles, translating learnings into actionable recommendations for the team.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience leading monetization for live service and or F2P games at scale.
- Strong understanding of monetization design, including battle passes, stores, pricing, consumables, and progression economies.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, analytics, engineering, and marketing.
- Deep familiarity with retention, conversion funnels, economy balance, and player behaviour in F2P contexts.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with revenue models, dashboards, segmentation, cohort analysis, and experimentation frameworks.
- Ability to develop long-term monetization strategy while executing rapidly in a live environment.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting strategy and performance insights to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Product, Analytics, Game Design, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Skills
- Experience building monetization strategy from scratch for a new or growing live service title.
- Familiarity with platform pricing constraints, regulatory considerations, fraud prevention, and consumer trust best practices.
- Experience with tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of player sentiment and how trust impacts long-term monetization performance.
- Experience working on console and PC monetization ecosystems with platform-specific considerations.
- A strong taste for games and a player-first approach to monetization design.
