Job Description
Position Summary
PMA Consultants is seeking a skilled, proactive, and client-focused PMIS Implementation Architect to lead the support and optimization of project management information systems across multiple projects/systems. The ideal candidate will have experience administering PMIS platforms and serve as a key liaison among project teams, IT professionals, and stakeholders. This role emphasizes advanced configuration, process improvement, and end-user engagement to ensure system performance aligns with business objectives in complex capital project environments.
Organization Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of PMIS implementations, ensuring alignment with client business processes and objectives.
- Develop system-agnostic functional and technical architectures, including workflows, data models, dashboards, and reporting structures.
- Translate client requirements into scalable, configurable solutions across multiple PMIS platforms.
- Define integration requirements between PMIS and enterprise systems (ERP, scheduling, document management, GIS, etc.).
- Analyze current and future-state business processes and align with PMIS functionality.
- Lead business requirements gathering and functional design sessions.
- Develop complex configurations and scalable solutions for process automation.
- Partner with stakeholders to define implementation roadmaps and testing strategies.
- Lead data migration efforts and validate integrity across systems.
- Maintain detailed configuration documentation and version control logs.
- Lead creation of training guides, UAT scripts, and onboarding materials.
- Deliver training to end users and provide structured adoption support.
- Capture feedback, manage enhancement requests, and support change control.
- Contribute to process optimization and long-term support planning.
- Oversee the implementation lifecycle from discovery to post-go-live support.
- Manage configuration teams, developers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality PMIS solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, technical design documents, and configuration guides.
- Establish data governance, quality assurance, and change control standards for all PMIS-related workstreams.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in recurring project meetings and reporting cycles.
- Translate business goals into system requirements and solutions.
- Communicate system impacts and updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of PMIS administration or similar systems support experience.
- Proficiency in PMIS tools such as e-Builder, Unifier, Masterworks, Procore, or similar.
- Strong background in project controls and reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working across multiple capital projects or programs.
- Understanding of system integrations and APIs is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead small projects or workstreams independently.
$82,749 - $97,230 a year
Location and Commitments
· Overtime work may be required occasionally to ensure certain deliverables are completed on time.
· Weekend work is rare but occasionally may be necessary.
