The ideal candidate is an expert at professionally encouraging movement past roadblocks and inspiring project team members to deliver their best work.

Tenacity and the ability to manage effectively across a portfolio of business-critical projects will be required. This role will partner with functional teams to manage all SAP workstream deliverables.

This role will perform expert and effective project management for SAP technology and processes, while coordinating efforts with the iHerb PMO, implementation partners, and other related project workstreams. Effective project management includes developing and maintaining project plans, identifying and managing risks, managing resource allocations and reporting on resource allocation issues, coordinating with technical teams and project managers, and assisting the iHerb PMO with keeping projects on time, in scope, and within budget.

To effectively project manage SAP workstreams, this role must understand the SAP deployment approach, SAP workflows and processes, and the impact of SAP design decisions. As a Technical Project Manager, this role must ensure that those impacts are effectively communicated to functional project leadership, other technical workstreams, and the iHerb PMO. It is also expected to account for these decisions in testing, conversion, integration, and deployment planning.

Effectively taking notes, documenting decisions, outcomes, and risks are a paramount for succeeding in this role. This Technical Project Manager will participate in requirements gathering and design sessions as well as workstream meetings and other associated project meetings and be expected to proactively follow up on outcomes.

Leveraging the iHerb PMO framework and best practices, the Technical Project Manager will define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, and deliverables. They will also monitor and report on project progress, status, and performance utilizing standard project management tools leveraged by the iHerb PMO.

This role is expected to evangelize the value of effective project management by mentoring and guiding team members on use of the iHerb PMO processes and best practices. This role is also expected to further the maturity of the iHerb PMO by identifying necessary process improvement and bringing to bear their experience.

The Technical Project Manager is expected to build a trusted relationship with the IT team, leadership, and all project stakeholders and team members. The ideal candidate has international experience, understanding the nuance of effectively driving outcomes and building trusted relationships in a global business model. The ideal candidate is also an expert at professionally encouraging movement past roadblocks and inspiring project team members to deliver their best work.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

At least 7-10 years’ relevant experience, which is ideally a combination of project management experience and technical knowledge of SAP systems and functionality.

Demonstrated, hands-on experience performing formal project management for complex, multi-threaded projects or programs that are technical in nature: establishing scope, creating project assets, developing detailed project and resource plans, independently leading from initiation through closing, managing issues and risk, establishing and maintaining communication cadence, and managing project budgets.

The ideal candidate has experience with SAP and other enterprise SaaS systems.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly analyze information, identify gaps, and make informed recommendations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Must be able to both listen and execute, but also professionally and productively challenge assumptions and highlight risks.

Proven indirect leadership skills in a high-performing, fast-paced environment: willingness to both lead and contribute.

CAPM, PMP, or other relevant project management certification preferred but not required.

Experience with project management for enterprise systems implementations, specifically SAP, strongly preferred. Knowledge of SAP implementation methodology also strongly preferred.

Change management experience with a strong understanding of the role of change management in project management preferred but not required. Prosci experience is a plus.
