Overview
Are you looking to make an impact? We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to support our government client. In this position, you will be leading a small cross-functional team of technologists for Department of Veterans Affairs. If you have experience product life cycle from proof of concept to product road mapping and execution and you've helped bridge gaps between customers and interdisciplinary teams, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is remote and anticipates < 10% travel.
What You'll Do
- Partner with program stakeholders to translate their program vision into a product strategy and delivery planDefine and manage program-wide roadmap, goals / objectives, and product strategy informed by user research, quantitative data, and client needs
- Oversee multiple cross-functional teams to ensure iterative delivery, effective roadmapping and prioritization, and consistent release of customer-insights-driven features to market
- Collaborate with / lead other PMs in feature prioritization, outcomes-driven success metrics definition, qual and quant data collection, user research, general solutioning, and sprint planning
- Act as main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring accurate understanding of client values and needs and continuous buy-in on product strategy and roadmap
- Ensure successful delivery of impactful solutions, at times by scrubbing in to help craft epics and user stories, write specifications, craft GTM plans, collect analytics, synthesize user research findings, etcLead / facilitate major workshops or design thinking methods with clients and other stakeholders
- Empower and coach teammates to effectively propose solutions to clients that map to client values and needs
- Understand opportunities and constraints across the business, technical architecture, end-user needs, and client needs; ruthlessly focus teams and work on the highest priority solutions.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs and communicate internally and with leadership to ensure operational support for product delivery
- Proactively engage with impacted customers and clients across the ecosystem, to ensure the seamless rollout and adoption of new solutions
- Directly manage and mentor other PMs on the program
- Lead technical approach solutioning for bid proposals, and help shape organic growth within current contracts / programs
- Collaborate internally with Digital Services Leaders to shape and grow product capabilities within the MO product team
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of industry experience in software development and product management managing projects with numerous stakeholders, preferably with SaaS, PaaS, or mobile app product experience
- Someone with a strong product sense—taking a structured approach to understanding and solving problems
- Excellent client relationship management and customer success skills
- A design thinker and lean product thinker (e.g., hypothesis and experimentation driven approach to MVP definition); delivering using plays from design thinking including research, facilitating workshops, and enabling decision-making with clients
- An outcome-oriented approach focused on delivering value to end users backed by measurable, data-driven results
- Experience leading projects and aligning stakeholders around goals
- Experience leading multiple cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
- Experience managing and mentoring Product Managers
- Ability to set expectations, remove blockers, and hold the team accountable to deliver on contractual and client expectations
- A desire to seek different perspectives, and ask for help when needed
- Ability to lead teams through changeNice to have: experience working with the federal government

$150,000 - $157,500 a year
Compensation for this role is $150,000 to $157,500 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential
Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers:
Tier 1: $150,000— Meets minimum qualification/experience requirements. Beyond onboarding, will need additional guidance and training to perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 2: $153,750— Experienced and fully-competent. Beyond onboarding, can independently perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 3: $157,500— Highly-experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed.
To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable.
