As a Channel Manager for Member Growth Operations, you will be responsible for taking Virta’s mail channel - our #1 for acquisition - to the next level.

Reporting to our Director of Growth Optimization, you’ll own the analytics, financial management, and experimentation strategy for direct mail. Your role will include owning the mail financial, creative, and experimentation strategy to ensure that mail continues to resonate with a wide range of eligible members and converts to drive applications and enrollments.

You will also be working cross-functionally with customer-facing teams, product, and engineering and bring your influence to drive progress.

Your work will ensure Virta’s mail campaigns reach members predictably, efficiently, and with measurable impact. This is a senior individual-contributor role with cross-functional leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale Virta’s direct mail channel; serve as an expert internally and externally on direct mail, one of Virta’s most important and high impact marketing channels

  • Deliver data-driven performance management, including forecasting, A/B testing, and real-time reporting to stakeholders.

  • Advance direct mail automation and efficiency by optimizing vendor relationships, streamlining approval workflows, building libraries of pre-approved creatives, reducing manual processes, and preparing performance insights to share directly with clients.

  • Develop a high-performing content strategy, expanding Virta’s direct mail creative library with assets that consistently resonate with members and outperform industry benchmarks.

  • Keep on top of industry trends including personalization and timing strategies to bring the latest direct mail insights to improve channel performance quarter over quarter

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Understand and analyze our mail data: creatives, UTM metrics, content taxonomy, and learning and immersing in the formats and campaigns that have worked to date.

  • Build cross-functional relationships with marketing, engineering, product, content, and design that will be involved in collaboration and execution.

  • Take on direct mail analytics and execution of direct mail A/B tests and review all existing direct mail canvases, identifying further opportunities to continue to scale and personalize our content and delivery

  • Contribute to our optimization work by bringing AI-informed insights, recommending direct mail segmentation strategies, and automating tasks previously done manually.

Must-Haves

  • Proven owner of a marketing channel from strategy to execution. You’ve built playbooks, run experiments, and operationalized winners into repeatable sequences.

  • Experience with direct-mail + cross-channel optimization experience. You’ve run DM A/B tests, authored rollout checklists, and translated creative learnings into sequencing that scales.

  • Strong experimentation discipline & taxonomy ownership. You can design A/B methodology, maintain the creative taxonomy, and ensure test results feed a living “best-of” library.

  • Cross-functional influencer with data-first instincts. You are comfortable partnering with Ops, AAA, CS/Implementation, and Product to QA inputs, translate data into decisions, and unblock launches.

  • Experience translating marketing tests into financial impact and forecasting.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $138,287 or $187,000. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.
