Role Summary:
Wave Media Agency is looking to hire a Social Media Manager to manage a TikTok account dedicated to North American, Central American & Caribbean Women’s soccer - creating a vibrant community through engaging content, while innovating how sports fans interact with sports highlights in the present day. The ideal candidate will have full knowledge of Women’s soccer within the region, and have a previous history of working within soccer social media.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, edit and publish a high volume of Women’s soccer short-form video content for TikTok.
- Source highlights, viral moments and trending topics across the different Women’s soccer competitions.
- Create timely, compelling video edits that align with current social trends, platform best practices, and the Women’s soccer calendar.
- Apply social-native editing techniques (on-screen text, captions, trending sounds, transitions) to maximize virality and audience engagement.
- Use of sounds, trends, and editing styles to accurately resonate with each individual fan base/country
- Create compelling stories within our content to educate fans within the region, as well as international soccer fans.
- Collaborate with internal & external content teams to create a programming calendar tied to fixtures, news and cultural moments.
- Live clipping of match highlights, editing footage, and publishing may be required for all matches on match days (including weeknights and weekends)
- Ability to shoot mobile content in the field at specific games in North America
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and passion for Women’s Soccer
- Proven experience producing and editing short-form video content for social media
- History of managing a Tiktok account involving community engagement & unique editing styles.
- Proficiency in video editing software is a must (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms, particularly for sports content.
- Creative mindset with a sharp eye for viral moments and storytelling opportunities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.

- Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules, including game nights, to reflect the business needs of the company.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
- The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
