As a DevOps Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and engineering culture. You’ll have the unique opportunity to build and lead one of our DevOps teams from the ground, assembling top talent and defining the standards, processes, and tools that will drive our success. Your mission will be to scale infrastructure, accelerate time to market, and ensure our systems operate securely, reliably, and efficiently. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Development, and Security, you’ll embed DevOps best practices across the organization and foster a culture of automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and mentoring a team of DevOps and SRE engineers, promoting professional growth and a high-performance culture.
- Driving the strategic evolution of infrastructure, aligning it with business and product goals.
- Coordinating collaboration between DevOps, Architecture, and Development teams to ensure technical alignment and smooth delivery across all environments.
- Shaping the DevOps/SRE culture and standards, introducing best practices and long-term improvement plans for automation, scalability, and reliability.
- Championing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to streamline provisioning and configuration.
- Building and maintaining hybrid environments across AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
- Ensuring infrastructure security, compliance, and risk management are at the forefront of all initiatives.
- Managing high-availability, mission-critical systems operating at 99.9%+ uptime.
- Participating in on-call rotations and leading incident reviews, ensuring a culture of accountability and learning.
About you
- 5+ years in DevOps or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead position.
- Proven experience with AWS (must-have).
- Experience working in hybrid environments (cloud and on-premises) is highly valued.
- Strong background in high-availability systems and resilient infrastructure design.
- Strong command of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with ArgoCD & FluxCD or GitLab CI/CD.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, OpenSearch, PagerDuty).
- Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
- Proven ability to lead or mentor teams and coordinate complex, multi-domain projects.
- Visionary leadership — able to define strategy, inspire teams, and drive results.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability in fast-paced, evolving technological landscapes.
- Deep sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Experience with fintech/trading-related products is much preferred.
- Fluent English.
