About the Role
Ramp is seeking a Head of Solutions to lead and develop our technical go-to-market teams across all customer segments. This is a 3rd-line management position overseeing managers in Solutions Consulting (pre-sales) and Technical Consulting (post-sales). In partnership with Sales leadership, you will set the direction for how Ramp wins and delivers technical solutions to new and existing accounts, ensuring that customers are confident with how Ramp integrates into their financial and operational systems. You will provide leadership and direction across these teams, own the operating model for technical evaluation and delivery, and shape a solutions motion that is scalable, consistent, and aligned with our product capabilities.
As an executive member of the GTM leadership team, you will partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Partnerships to establish the standards, frameworks, and technical narratives that guide Ramp’s customer evaluation and implementation processes. You will represent Ramp in executive-level and C-suite conversations across segments, influence roadmap priorities, and ensure GTM teams are equipped to deliver clear, credible, and technically sound solutions. This role requires strong communication skills, financial and technical depth, and the ability to lead teams that operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
What You'll Do
Provide strategic leadership across Solutions Consulting and Technical Consulting teams, ensuring all functions operate cohesively with shared goals, standards, and operating rhythms.
Lead and develop a multi-layer Solutions organization, ensuring clear expectations, strong management practices, succession planning, and a unified approach across segments.
Partner with Sales leadership to advance deal cycles through well-structured discovery, solution design, and customer-facing technical validation while ensuring consistent prioritization and resourcing across the funnel.
Define scalable solution patterns and frameworks—including integrations, financial workflows, data flows, and security considerations—that guide our GTM teams and improve technical clarity throughout the evaluation process.
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of demo environments, workflow templates, and solution guides used across Ramp’s evaluation motion and implement processes for continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to communicate customer needs, understand upcoming capabilities, and align solution strategies with the roadmap while ensuring GTM feedback is incorporated into long-term planning.
Oversee leadership of Technical Consulting teams responsible for complex technical and accounting implementations, ensuring alignment with what is designed in pre-sales.
Serve as an executive-facing technical thought leader for complex or strategic customer evaluations, ensuring your teams are positioned for success.
Champion best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets so they are consistently adopted across all GTM technical motions.
Support cross-functional initiatives—such as vertical expansion, partner ecosystem strategy, and multi-product activation—by aligning Solutions leadership around Ramp’s broader growth goals.
What You Need
10+ years in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related sales and technical roles, with 5+ years leading managers and multi-layer teams in high-growth SaaS or fintech environments.
Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting workflows, ERP platforms, and the integration methods that connect them.
Proven ability to guide complex evaluations involving technical, financial, and operational stakeholders across multiple customer segments.
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to CFOs, controllers, CTOs, and other senior leaders and earning trust in executive settings.
Demonstrated success leading and scaling technical organizations defining frameworks and operating structures that improve deal velocity and solution consistency.
Ability to use data and systems to manage team performance, forecast coverage needs, and assess solution quality.
A track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing technical teams and driving effective org design.
Experience leading or partnering with Technical Consulting, Professional Services, or partner-led implementation teams.
Proven ability to influence product and integration development through feedback from pre-sales, post-sales, and partner channels.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience working with or selling into finance teams.
Familiarity with ERP, HRIS, IdP, and workflow tools.
Hands-on knowledge of APIs, ETL tools, or scripting languages such as SQL or Python.
Experience working with partners, GSIs, or ISVs on technical enablement or implementations.
