Job Description

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We are looking for a Senior IT Planning & Delivery Lead responsible for coordinating resources, scheduling, and aligning priorities across all IT’s Workplace Technology team activities, from project-based initiatives to essential operational tasks. Reporting to the Director of Workplace Technology, this role ensures that the team meets diverse organizational needs, balancing proactive project work with critical operational support. The Senior IT Planning & Delivery Lead will lead team-level strategic planning and resource allocation via capacity planning techniques, proactively shape delivery standards, and mentor team members on agile best practices. The role applies agile project management methodologies for structured project workstreams and leverages Kanban methods to manage and prioritize more reactive, run-the-business tasks efficiently. This role acts as a trusted facilitator and advisor, enabling Workplace Technology leadership to make informed prioritization and sequencing decisions by providing clear visibility into capacity, trade-offs, risks, and delivery implications.

What you will do:

  • Operational Priorities & Roadmap: Creating and maintaining a roadmap for projects and operations, using agile planning, and managing vendor communication.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinating and triaging requests, communicating updates, and facilitating roadmap presentations with stakeholders.
  • Agile Project Management: Implement and lead new agile delivery practices like sprints and retrospectives to ensure continuous progress.
  • Resource Planning / Capacity Management: Developing and adjusting resource plans based on project needs and operational demands.
  • Continuous Improvement: Streamlining processes and using feedback to enhance team practices and efficiency.

This is a remote US East Coast role with a preference for candidates based in the NY tri-state area. ŌURA employees in major cities (like Boston or New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • Experience: 8+ years of IT-team specific project management experience, preferably in fast growth environments.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrated strong executional leadership and experience providing mentorship and coaching in agile best practices and frameworks, while leading cross-functional project delivery.
  • Resource & Operations Management: Proven ability to balance project and operational work within a technology or IT-focused team.
  • Agile Expertise: Proficiency in agile methodologies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and hands-on project management using agile principles.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in work management tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Communication & Planning: Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong planning, prioritization, and coordination skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build cross-functional relationships, manage expectations, and align stakeholders effectively.
  • Decision Support & Influence: Demonstrated experience facilitating prioritization discussions, presenting trade-offs, and influencing decisions without direct ownership or authority.
  • Adaptability: Strong strategic planning and adaptability to shifting priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Regulated Environment Experience: Experience in regulated environments, ideally supporting healthcare or government contracts, with understanding of compliance.
  • Remote Collaboration: Ability to lead remote teams effectively and occasional travel for strategic planning.
