Backend developer (stripe connect) (Nigeria)

Job Overview

Are you a Backend Developer who enjoys building scalable systems and complex integrations? Do you have hands-on experience working with tools like Stripe, HubSpot, and Odoo? In this role, you’ll collaborate with front-end developers, improve a legacy system’s architecture, and ensure backend performance, security, and reliability while working full-time PST in a fast-growing product environment.

Core Task:

• Build and maintain integrations with popular platforms like Stripe, Hubspot, and Odoo
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems
• Collaborate with front-end devs to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Manage and optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security
• Develop solutions for improving the overall system architecture to support the legacy site
• Implement best practices for backend performance, including caching & load balancing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure seamless functionality and uptime
   

Must-Have:

• 3+ years experience as a backend dev (preferably for event management software)
• Proficiency with Python development and Stripe connect integrations
• Knowledge of security best practices for stripe and other payment platforms
• Hands on experience building integrations with tools like Hubspot, and Odoo
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git or similar tool)
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Resilient, solutions-oriented attitude with the desire to evolve with a product and team
• Ability to work full-time PST
   

Nice to Have:

• Experience building software for event management applications
