Job Overview
Wargaming is looking for a talented Engine C++ Developer who may bring their own expert skills to our worldwide project, World of Warships.We are a strong team with good professionals in different areas. Our aim is to deliver the best MMO Action game for our players! This sets difficult issues for the Tech Department: find the best balance between performance and resource use, integrate new technology into large project and many others. The tech team is responsible for the improvement of client side our own game engine; we use mostly C++ 20.Apply and join us in building the future of World of Warships!
What will you do?
Develop technological solutions for the game client engine and game tools.
Provide Code Review and give technical feedback to teammates.
Ensure stability and performance of the game.
Maintain a high software quality and fix bugs.
Write solid code with a focus on performance and memory usage.
What are we looking for?
Strong technical background.
4+ years of experience in commercial C++ development.
Experience with multithreaded programming.
Experience in identifying bottlenecks and optimizing existing / future code.
Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Knowledge of linear algebra (vectors, matrices, quaternions).
Ability to debug engine-level code.
Ability to research existing approaches and adapt those to new or modified uses.
Strong code and system design skills.
Problem-solving skills.
Understanding of the base concept of game engines.
Knowledge and experience in UI development.
English – B2 and above.
What additional skills will help you stand out?
Experience with the Python programming language.
Huge experience with Code Review.
Basic understanding of computer graphics.
Experience with in-house game engines or a deep understanding of their architecture.
Work mode
Hybrid (3 days of work from the office).
This role isn't eligible for relocation & immigration support.
