We are looking for an experienced and talented software engineer to join our team.
What you'll do:Be responsible for maintaining a custom C++ engine and porting it to modern consolesUpdate 2D graphics code to support new consoles and new featuresInvestigate performance problems and implement optimizations to fix themWrite reliable and maintainable code without AI assistance that can safely handle a growing user-baseTest your own code thoroughly and assist QA in formulating a test plan for features you've developedQualificationsWhat you'll bring:5+ years of prior professional programmer experience3+ years of prior work experience in a professional video game studioPrior professional experience working with game console SDKs and graphics APIsSolid knowledge of programming languages and conceptsAbility to break down problems into well organized concepts and tasksAbility to manage your own work and operate independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work and collaborate well with programmers, designers and artistsA passion for video games and delivering the best player experienceWe also appreciate:A bachelor's degree in computer science or related fieldRecent experience directly programming without relying on AI toolsAdditional InformationUbisoft and Blue Mammoth Games are committed to creating an inclusive work environment that reflects the diversity of our player community.
