Job Description

The Salesforce Developer, Business Systems plays a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems that enable Level Access’s commercial and operational functions. This role contributes hands‑on technical expertise across application development, system integrations, and platform optimization to support our growing business.
Ideal candidates are self‑directed builders who thrive in evolving environments, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development

  • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform best practices.
  • Develop and optimize data models to support business growth while minimizing technical debt and operating effectively within Salesforce governor limits.
  • Implement and maintain platform enhancements, including objects, record types, page layouts, actions, custom settings/metadata, automation, and reporting.
  • Design and implement complex automation using Flow and Apex.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt; partner with Business Systems leadership to maintain and execute an iterative tech‑debt roadmap.
  • Perform performance tuning, refactoring, and dependency management to ensure stable releases.

Integrations & API Development

  • Build, enhance, and support integrations between Salesforce and core business systems.
  • Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs; use tools such as Postman and cURL for testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT, certificate‑based, SAML).
  • Support event‑driven integration patterns, including platform events, CDC, and webhooks.
  • Maintain and enhance integrations with systems such as HubSpot, Outreach, Clari, NetSuite, Celigo, ZoomInfo, RingLead, Gainsight, and others.
  • Troubleshoot cross‑system issues, improve integration reliability, and implement secure, scalable patterns.

CI/CD & Release Management

  • Operate the existing Salesforce CI/CD pipeline to deliver reliable, high‑quality releases.
  • Manage pull requests, run validations, monitor automated tests, and coordinate deployments across environments.
  • Continuously improve development workflows, automation, quality gates, and branching practices to reduce deployment friction.

Support, Security & Adoption

  • Provide L3 support for escalated issues, deliver root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
  • Maintain a strong Salesforce security posture across roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field‑level security.
  • Partner with IT & InfoSec to align system access and user management with security and least‑privilege standards.
  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with object‑oriented programming and Salesforce Apex (classes, triggers, tests, debugging).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, including troubleshooting multi‑system issues.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce security and sharing principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
  • Working knowledge of Apex design patterns for scalable automation and integrations.
  • Experience with connected apps and managed packages across sales enablement, e‑signature, and ERP systems (preferred).
  • Comfort working in a blended low‑code and pro‑code environment (Flow + Apex) and selecting the right approach for long‑term maintainability (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of AWS or Azure application development and serverless architectures (preferred).
