Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end Power BI dashboards for Agile, DevOps, and delivery metrics using data from ADO, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
    • Build data models and transformations in Power Query and DAX to calculate key KPIs (e.g., velocity, lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR, sprint health)
    • Implement automated data ingestion via ADO and GitHub REST APIs, handling authentication, pagination, and incremental refreshes
    • Collaborate with Agile CoE and DevOps teams to define metrics, business logic, and dashboard requirements aligned with DORA and Agile standards
    • Integrate AI and predictive analytics (Azure ML, Python/R scripts, Cognitive Services) for insights such as sprint risk prediction, anomaly detection, and forecasted delivery trends
    • Lead by example in Power BI development best practices, including workspace governance, dataflows, version control in GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines for reports
    • Create intuitive, executive-level visualizations that tell a story — emphasizing actionable insights over vanity metrics
    • Drive adoption of AI-enabled Power BI features, including Q&A, natural language querying, and smart narrative visuals
    • Ensure data governance, performance optimization, and security (RLS, access control, gateway management) across environments

Requirements:

    • 7+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, and complex transformations
    • Proven experience connecting Power BI to Azure DevOps and GitHub REST APIs to build Agile/DevOps dashboards
    • Strong command of Power Query (M), DAX, and semantic modeling for multi-source datasets
    • Experience with AI and analytics integration, including Azure ML, Python/R scripts, and Power BI’s AI visuals
    • Working knowledge of Agile metrics and DevOps KPIs (velocity, cycle time, deployment frequency, lead time for change, etc.)
    • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration (Dataflows, Data Factory, or Fabric) and report lifecycle management
    • Practical understanding of version control (GitHub) and DevOps deployment pipelines for BI assets
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication — able to translate data into strategy
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field

Nice-to-Have Skills

    • Experience with Azure Synapse, Fabric, or Databricks as data backends
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Jira or similar tools
    • Familiarity with Power BI REST API, embedding, and Power Automate integration
    • Exposure to predictive modeling and generative AI for reporting enhancement
$75 - $85 an hour
