SAP MDG & Data Governance Leadership

Own the end to end SAP MDG solution across core domains (Business Partner, Material, Supplier, Customer, Finance).

Define and operationalize enterprise master data governance models, including ownership, stewardship, and approval workflows.

Drive Golden Record and SSOT design to eliminate fragmentation across legacy and modern SAP landscapes.

Lead ECC to S/4HANA Business Partner harmonization initiatives.

Oversee MDG configuration (data models, UI/FPM, workflows, BRF+ rules, validations, derivations).

Establish enterprise wide data quality, duplicate detection, matching, and remediation frameworks.

Ensure MDG scalability and extensibility to non SAP and R&D master data domains.

Program & Delivery Management

Lead SAP MDG programs from initiation through go live and stabilization.

Manage integrated delivery plans covering milestones, budgets, dependencies, and resourcing.

Coordinate cross functional teams spanning Business, IT, ERP, Data Governance, Security, Validation, and System Integrators.

Drive risk, issue, scope, and change governance through formal steering structures.

Manage vendor performance and contractual delivery commitments.

Provide executive level reporting, steering committee communications, and decision support.

Ensure business readiness, adoption, and benefits realization.

Compliance, Validation & Quality

Ensure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements (GxP, CSV, SOX).

Align delivery with enterprise SDLC, validation, and quality frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

Own validation strategy, including impact assessments, testing traceability, and audit evidence.

Ensure segregation of duties, data controls, and governance processes are audit ready.

Define KPIs and dashboards for ongoing monitoring of data quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Required Experience & Skills

10–14+ years of SAP experience with significant leadership in SAP MDG programs.

Proven delivery of SAP MDG in large, complex global environments.

Strong expertise in master data governance, Business Partner harmonization, and data quality frameworks.

Hands on experience supporting ECC to S/4HANA transformations.

Strong program management capabilities across delivery methodologies.

Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences / Pharma).

Solid understanding of SAP and non SAP integrations and data migration principles.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP MDG and/or S/4HANA certification.

PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification.

Experience with enterprise data quality tools and dashboards.

Exposure to governance of R&D, reference, or non ERP master data domains.
