Job Description
TrustedHousesitters is a fast growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel.
Here at TrustedHousesitters, we’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. We’ve got big plans on becoming the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. We’ve built something pretty special: a trusted place where pet owners and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world.
We’ve already grown into a global community with members in over 140 countries, a product people genuinely love, and a team of more than 100 brilliant humans powering it all.
But we’re only just getting started. Our goal? To grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.
At the moment, a sit starts every two minutes somewhere on the planet. We want that to be every single minute and we know the only way we’ll get there is with the right people in the right roles.
The right people in the right roles will shape our future. So, here’s the big question: Could that be you?
About the role:
We’re looking for a Data Analyst who thrives on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work hands-on with data to understand our members’ behaviour, identify opportunities for improvement, and help teams across the business make informed, data-driven decisions.
You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders from across the business, helping them translate data into meaningful insights and actions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills within a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You’ll have scope to work across the full member experience, while working collaboratively with teams across the business.
The role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills in SQL, curiosity about user behaviour, and a passion for turning data into insight. You’ll take ownership of your own projects, working with guidance to deliver clear, accurate, and impactful analysis.
What you’ll bring
Technical delivery
• Extract, model and validate data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that make data easy to access and interpret across squads and the wider business.
• Translate complex data into clear visualisations and simple, actionable insights that help stakeholders understand impact and make better decisions.
• Support the implementation and measurement of new product features by ensuring there is accurate event tracking and clear performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data processes, improving efficiency and consistency.
Collaboration & enablement
• Partner closely with product, engineering and other teams to support the delivery of initiatives across the business.
• Work with curiosity and openness, asking thoughtful questions and using data to inform and shape priorities.
• Focus on making data and insights more accessible - building reports, dashboards, and automated tools that empower others to explore and self-serve confidently.
• Contribute to a culture of data enablement and evidence-based decision making by sharing best practices and supporting others in using data effectively.
Member insights
• Conduct discovery and analysis across the whole member journey, to support ongoing opportunities that improve the member experience and drive business growth.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that guide decision-making and inspire confident action.
• Support the design and interpretation of experiments, ensuring they are well structured, statistically sound, and focused on learning.
Growth mindset
• Eager to grow and consistently improve analytical, technical, and communication skills.
• Proactively seeks out new questions, opportunities, and improvements in how data is used across the organisation.
• Demonstrates curiosity and initiative, always aiming to add value and make a meaningful impact.
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency in SQL with experience querying large datasets;
- Experience with visualisation and BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau, or similar).
- Strong communication skills - ability to explain analysis clearly and adapt messages for different audiences.
- Proactive and curious mindset, able to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and identify opportunities.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality work with support and guidance.
- Understanding of core statistics and experimentation principles (A/B testing, significance testing, confidence intervals).
- Experience with product or customer analytics within a digital, subscription, or platform business.
- Experience with event tracking tools and customer data platforms (Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar).
- Experience with dbt, Python or R for data modelling.
- Experience working in a scale up business, or in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
