AWS - Cloud Automation Specialist 

Aequilibrium is a digital innovation consultancy that helps organizations design and deliver secure, scalable technology solutions. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Automation Specialist to join us for an exciting 12 month project to support the ongoing enhancement, automation, and scaling of enterprise cloud landing zone capabilities.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving secure, repeatable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Expectations

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of cloud landing zone and automation capabilities
• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable secure and consistent deployments
• Support onboarding processes, including account provisioning and standardized infrastructure patterns
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and cost-management capabilities
• Contribute to hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity initiatives
• Prepare technical documentation and provide structured knowledge transfer
• Present technical concepts and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate within Agile or Scrum delivery teams
   

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS in large or enterprise environments
• Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt
• Experience using GitHub and CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions
• Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
   

Assets

• Experience working with provincial or federal government
• Experience with AWS Direct Connect
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
• Experience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
   

Certifications (Considered an Asset)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• AWS Certified Database – Specialty
   

Compensation 

Compensation range: $100, 000 - $140,000 per year.

Final rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with role requirements.

Location 

Aequilibrium is a remote-first organization. Preference may be given to candidates residing in British Columbia. The ability to work PST hours is required.
