Job Description

Life at UiPath

The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.

To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.

Could that be you?

Your mission

Automation Developers are integral members of project teams responsible for implementing RPA solutions for our customers and partners, thereby increasing the adoption, consumption, and expansion of UiPath software.

What you'll do at UiPath

  • Deliver intelligent automation and agentic workflows to drive successful adoption and increase consumption of UiPath products (in onsite and remote client engagements).

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and document automation workflows, agentic processes, and reusable components.

  • Build and orchestrate end-to-end automations that combine RPA, APIs, and AI capabilities, including copilots and agent-driven workflows.

  • Leverage UiPath Document Understanding and IXP for document extraction and classification use cases within broader automation solutions.

  • Use UiPath Maestro to orchestrate workflows across robots, agents, systems, and people.

  • Build human-in-the-loop processes for approvals, validations, and exception handling.

  • Define guardrails, fallback paths, and confidence thresholds for AI-enabled automations.

  • Evaluate when to use deterministic RPA versus agentic/AI-driven workflows.

  • Monitor automations for performance, reliability, and accuracy in production.

  • Implement and configure programs, scripts, and objects that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable, and scalable across deterministic and AI-assisted workflows.

  • Analyze and understand business processes to identify opportunities for automation, augmentation, and intelligent decision-making.

  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to guide AI/agent behavior and improve output quality within automation workflows.

  • Gather project requirements and support integration with partner products and enterprise systems.

  • Support existing automations/processes and continuously enhance them with AI-driven capabilities, implementing change requirements through a structured change control process.

  • Create and document test procedures and scenarios, including validation of AI-generated outputs during pre-UAT phases.

  • Troubleshoot issues across both rule-based and AI-assisted processes, ensuring reliability and performance.

  • Work closely with the product team to suggest improvements to core functionalities and agentic capabilities within the UiPath ecosystem.

  • Comply at all times with UiPath policies communicated via Inside UiPath.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Experience with software development life cycle, process re-engineering, and RPA technologies.

  • Exposure to or interest in AI-powered automation and agentic workflows, particularly in applying AI within enterprise processes.

  • Practical experience or familiarity with prompt engineering and guiding AI behavior in real-world use cases.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills; ability to explain automation solutions that include AI components to both technical and business audiences.

  • Ability to break down business problems into logical tasks and design solutions that combine automation with intelligent decision-making.

  • Experience with UiPath Orchestrator for managing, scheduling, and monitoring automations.

  • Exposure to UiPath Agents and agentic automation concepts.

  • Understanding of human-in-the-loop design for enterprise workflows.

  • Ability to design automations with AI guardrails and fallback logic.

  • Judgment to determine when a process should use rules-based automation versus AI/agentic decisioning.

  • Cross-functional business and application knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Python and object-oriented languages, scripting, and database query languages.

  • Project and change management experience, preferably involving IT implementations and UAT management.

  • Experience working with or exposure to document processing solutions (e.g., UiPath Document Understanding / IXP) is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English), including the ability to prepare both high-level and detailed technical presentations.
