Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer, AI & Tools (Apex Legends) Location: Vancouver, BC or Montreal, QC Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)Respawn is looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer, AI and Tools to build and design various tooling for Apex Legends game and to explore opportunities enabling AI automation driven workflow integrations within the tools.As a Senior Fullstack Developer, AI and Tools you will report to Lead Developer of our Shared Tools team and will work with content / technical / product directors and the tools development team to design, build and enable tools with AI.You will also partner with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver extendable tools that support content creation workflow and are performant and robust to support a live game. ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain tools and pipelines supporting a live gameIdentify opportunities for AI tools integration, prototype integrations and architecture and develop AI enabled solutionsConnect models to internal tools, APIs, and databases to execute complex, multi-step agentic workflowsOwn multi-disciplinary technical initiatives from design, user testing to release to internal customersOptimize memory, CPU and performance of new and existing toolsDebug and resolve complex issues in a large scale codebaseIntegrate platform and partner technologies into the game engineCollaborate with content teams on feature developmentMentor developers through code reviews and technical guidance Qualifications8+ years developing, building, deploying, and scaling enterprise-grade online applications supporting a game engine/live serviceFamiliarity with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases, and foundational models (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source weights)Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with modern JavaScript frameworks is highly preferredSolid understanding of at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, C#) and RESTful API design.C/C++ experience is highly preferredFamiliarity with UI workflows and UI authoring frameworksExperience working in large, shared codebasesDeep understanding of system design, microservices architecture, design patterns, and scaling high-traffic systemsExperience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)Good knowledge of at least one version control system (Git/Gitlab/Perforce) and CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of computer science foundations Nice to HaveFamiliarity with DCC toolsShipped at least one AAA game on console or PC is highly preferredExperience shipping and supporting a live service gameExperience with automated testing, or build systems

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
