About the Role
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team building high-quality mobile applications. This role requires strong experience in iOS development and a deep understanding of modern mobile engineering practices.
You will contribute to the development and optimisation of iOS applications, working on user-facing features, performance improvements, and scalable mobile architecture. The role requires a product mindset, with the ability to build intuitive, high-performing applications that deliver strong user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications.
- Build scalable, performant, and user-friendly mobile features using Swift.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful product features.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve application structure and maintainability.
- Integrate location-based functionalities using technologies such as Core Location, MapKit, or Google Maps.
- Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and stability concerns.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and mobile engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in iOS application development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Experience building and maintaining production-level mobile applications.
- Experience working with iOS frameworks and mobile architecture patterns.
- Experience with location-based technologies such as Core Location, MapKit, or Google Maps.
- Experience integrating and working with APIs and mobile services.
- Experience working in product-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of mobile performance, usability, and scalability considerations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in high-growth or well-known UK/US scale-ups.
- Strong product engineering mindset with a focus on user experience.
- Experience contributing to mobile architecture decisions.
