Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled 3D Rendering & CAD Specialist to support our interior design projects with realistic, detail-oriented renderings and a solid understanding of architectural plans. This role requires proficiency in SketchUp, CAD, and rendering tools, along with a keen eye for proportion, lighting, scale, and interior design standards.

If you're technically sharp, creatively driven, and meticulous with details—this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and realistic 3D renderings using SketchUp and relevant software.
  • Apply textures, components, and models (e.g., from SketchUp Warehouse) with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Interpret and work from CAD drawings (floorplans, elevations, RCPs, lighting/electrical plans).
  • Ensure scale, proportion, lighting, and design standards are correctly represented.
  • Identify and fix rendering inconsistencies (e.g., mismatched furniture heights or incorrect materials).
  • Self-check work and take initiative to resolve unclear specs or visual issues.
  • Communicate effectively with designers and team members—ask questions when needed.
  • Meet deadlines with a high level of efficiency and time management.
  • Make minor design decisions when appropriate based on industry standards (e.g., counter heights, toe kicks, hardware placement).

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SketchUp and rendering software.
  • Solid understanding of CAD and architectural/interior design terminology.
  • Interior design knowledge (e.g., furniture placement, material use, standard measurements).
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in materials, lighting, and overall realism.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and visual awareness.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to work within defined project specs.
  • A positive attitude, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills.
  • Any of the following bachelor’s degree:
  •   Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design (licensed)
  •   Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (licensed)
  •   Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design (licensed)
  •   Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design (licensed)

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in interior design or architecture firms.
  • Familiarity with Xrefs, material tagging, blocking, and dimensioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret full construction document sets.
