The Impact of a VP, Strategic Engagements at Coupa:

The Global Vice President of Strategic Engagements leads the company's elite, customer-facing Strategic Engagements  team responsible for accelerating major transformation initiatives across Coupa’s most strategic global prospects and customers. This executive defines the global methodology for how Coupa partners with C-level executives (in Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain) to co-create a clear Business Spend Management (BSM) value roadmap, ensuring the realization of the platform’s ROI. This role is crucial for maximizing commercial value capture, driving client adoption, and scaling the intellectual property of the Strategic Engagements team.

What You'll Do:

    • Define, standardize, and scale the global Strategic Value Roadmap methodology while ensuring the quality and integrity of all strategic deliverables.
    • Synthesize insights from client engagements to influence Product, Sales, and Services strategy, and oversee the full portfolio of strategic engagements for quality, executive alignment, and commercial impact.
    • Engage directly with C-suite and Boards at top accounts to drive multi-year BSM transformation commitments and ensure adoption of recommendations across pre-sales and post-sales motions.
    • Build and lead a high-performing global team, including recruiting, developing talent, and establishing performance metrics and career paths that blend advisory excellence with measurable commercial outcomes.
    • Serve as an external thought leader, representing Coupa and reinforcing its position as the trusted advisor in Business Spend Management at executive forums and industry events.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

    • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Pre-Sales, Management Consulting (Partner or Principal level), or Corporate within the  enterprise software industry
    • Deep, verifiable expertise in the Source-to-Pay and Supply Chain working with Fortune 500 clients and C-level stakeholders in complex, global organizations
    • Proven success in building and managing a global, high-impact advisory or presales consulting team
    • Exceptional executive presence and proven ability to facilitate C-level discussions and drive alignment across cross functional stakeholder groups
The estimated pay range for this role is $266,000 - $293,000 + eligibility for commission

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
