What You’ll Do

The Commercial Lines Product & Forms Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness of our commercial insurance products. This position is responsible for ongoing business testing to validate that rating, underwriting rules, and policy forms function as intended within internal systems. The analyst also supports product expansion by compiling, maintaining, and validating state-specific form lists as the company enters new jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular and systematic business testing to ensure rating algorithms, underwriting rules, eligibility criteria, and policy forms are operating accurately across all platforms.
  • Perform regression testing after rate, rule, or form changes are implemented.
  • Identify defects, document issues clearly, and collaborate with Product, IT, and Compliance teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Validate end-to-end policy issuance, including quoting, binding, and document generation workflows.
  • Maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation to support repeatable and consistent testing practices.

Forms Management & Multi-State Expansion Support

  • Compile and maintain comprehensive forms listings for each state and product offering.
  • Partner with Product, Compliance, Underwriting, and Legal to validate required state-specific forms and updates.
  • Assist in forms mapping and configuration to ensure accurate attachment rules within systems.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and coordinate necessary adjustments to forms libraries.
  • Support market expansion efforts by researching state requirements and preparing forms documentation for filings and system configuration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Actuarial, Compliance, Underwriting, and Technology teams to ensure product accuracy and readiness.
  • Participate in project meetings, product rollout discussions, and system enhancement sessions.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on rating and forms behavior within commercial lines systems.

 Basic Requirements

  • Required

    • 5 -7 years experience in property and casualty insurance (e.g., property, liability, package, workers’ compensation)
    • Strong understanding of rating, underwriting rules, and policy forms.
    • Prior experience in system testing, QA, or product support.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to document issues clearly and collaborate across teams.

    Preferred

    • Commercial insurance experience
    • Experience with ISO-based products and multi-state forms management.
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Proficiency in testing tools or insurance policy admin systems
