Job Description

ABOUT YOU

You are a seasoned product professional who understands that great LiveOps platforms are the engine behind great player experiences. You don't just manage a backlog — you own a product with conviction and a clear point of view. You are equally comfortable diving deep into data as you are aligning stakeholders on a long-term vision.

You are not a game designer or game producer. You are a Product Manager who happens to have deep expertise in the LiveOps space and understands what studios need to operate live games effectively — and that distinction matters to us at Xsolla.

This is a senior individual contributor role with full product ownership of Xsolla LiveOps — not a game, but the platform that powers live operations for games worldwide. You will define the strategy, own the roadmap, and lead delivery of scalable LiveOps systems, tooling, and features used by internal teams and partner studios globally.

The role also requires close collaboration with marketing and sales teams to align on and support the execution of both internal and external marketing and sales strategies — ensuring the product roadmap reflects go-to-market priorities and that LiveOps capabilities are effectively positioned to drive partner acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

We are specifically seeking specialists with proven, hands-on LiveOps experience combined with strong product ownership at a senior level. This is a fully remote position and we welcome applications from anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end product ownership of Xsolla LiveOps — including catalog management, promotion tools (discounts, bonuses, promo codes, offer chains), personalization, and loyalty mechanics
  • Define and maintain a prioritized product roadmap aligned with business goals, partner needs, and Xsolla's broader monetization strategy
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in LiveOps tooling, workflows, and automation to improve operational efficiency for studios using the platform
  • Drive the full product lifecycle: discovery, definition, development, release, and post-launch optimization
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure product performance, adoption, and business impact across partner integrations
  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to validate hypotheses and improve platform outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, design, QA, and partner-facing teams at Xsolla
  • Partner closely with marketing and sales to align the product roadmap with go-to-market priorities, support positioning of Xsolla LiveOps capabilities, and contribute to partner acquisition and retention strategies
  • Translate complex operational and monetization requirements into clear, actionable product specifications and user stories
  • Serve as the primary product authority and escalation point for all matters related to Xsolla LiveOps

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion spent in LiveOps — candidates without direct LiveOps experience will not be considered
  • Experience working on a Product (platform, tooling, or B2B/B2C service) — not a game; deep understanding of this distinction is essential
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping LiveOps features or platform capabilities that drove measurable business outcomes (retention, revenue, engagement, or partner adoption)
  • Experience leading the full product discovery and delivery process in an agile/scrum environment as a Product Owner
  • Solid background in managing product backlogs, writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Proven ability to work with data: defining metrics, interpreting analytics, running experiments, and making data-driven decisions
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams, including technical scoping and trade-off discussions
  • Experience working alongside or embedded with marketing and/or sales teams to support go-to-market execution

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • LiveOps expertise: deep knowledge of LiveOps mechanics, event management, content calendaring, promotions, segmentation, and monetization tooling — ideally with experience in platforms similar to Xsolla LiveOps
  • Product thinking: ability to balance partner/user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to prioritize the highest-impact work
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable with large datasets, dashboards, and analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Tableau, Looker, BigQuery)
  • Stakeholder management: ability to influence without authority, align diverse internal and external stakeholders, and communicate trade-offs clearly to leadership
  • Technical fluency: solid understanding of APIs, backend systems, webhooks, and data pipelines; able to collaborate effectively with engineering on platform architecture decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication: clear documentation, strong presentation skills, and ability to synthesize complex information for varied audiences
  • A/B testing & experimentation: experience designing and interpreting experiments to drive iterative improvements
  • Agile/Scrum proficiency: experience leading sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and release planning as a Product Owner
  • Self-starter mindset: comfortable operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous, globally distributed environment.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with other LiveOps management platforms such as PlayFab, Heroic Labs, or Balancy
  • Background in gaming, entertainment, or subscription-based digital products
  • Familiarity with CRM, push notification systems, loyalty programs, or dynamic content delivery pipelines
  • Experience working in a multi-product or platform environment serving internal customers or external partners (studios, publishers)
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent)
