Position Summary
Our Client is hiring a high-impact Apparel Production Specialist to lead end-to-end execution for our Global DTC & Amazon production needs. This role will own all production functions from purchase order to delivery, with a heavy focus on complex packaging requirements, tight turnarounds, and global vendor coordination.
The ideal candidate is a solutions-driven operator who thrives under pressure, moves quickly without sacrificing detail, and brings extensive experience managing international vendor networks, cross-functional workflows, and high-stakes retail launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary production lead for all production of inventory for our Global DTC and Amazon Marketplace sales channels and markets.
- Translate shifting sales forecasts into agile production plans without compromising deadlines or accuracy.
Production & Calendar Management
- Oversee all production milestones using NetSuite, Centric PLM, and Anvyl (Sage) — from fabric commitment through delivery.
- Maintain accurate WIP updates and ensure every stakeholder is aligned on delivery goals, raw material safety stock, production risks, and launch-critical changes.
- Navigate compressed, high-pressure timelines and manage updates in real-time with internal and external teams.
Global Vendor Collaboration
- Manage a network of international vendors across Asia, Africa, and other sourcing regions.
- Align with suppliers on capacity, pricing, timelines, and packaging compliance for Amazon and DTC programs.
- Lead daily/weekly vendor check-ins and anticipate delays or compliance issues before they escalate.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Tech Design, Sales, Logistics, and Planning to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
- Use Slack and Notion to communicate updates, surface risks, and maintain visibility across teams.
- Ensure smooth handoffs between departments and external partners to avoid delays or duplications.
Packaging, QA & Compliance
- Own all packaging requirements for Amazon and DTC requirements, e.g. bundles and hard-packs
- Oversee pre-production samples (PP), TOPs, and final inspections — ensuring each item meets True Classic’s product and vendor operating standards.
- Partner with QA, Logistics and 3PL teams to guarantee floor-ready delivery with 100% compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years apparel production experience, ideally in high-volume and fast-turn environments.
- Proficient in NetSuite, Centric PLM, and Anvyl/Sage.
- Proven success working with global vendors, including managing capacity, compliance, and international lead times.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to juggle competing priorities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable driving daily execution across internal and external teams.
- Proficiency with Slack and Asana for task management and visibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills (costing, calendars, WIP reports).
- Background in menswear or direct-to-consumer apparel is a plus.
