Job Description

About Mammoth Brands

Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry’s Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We’re building a new model—and home—brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to “Create Things People Like More.” Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it’s not, we don’t do it. This guides everything we do, from developing the best product experiences, to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work, to exploring innovative ways to give back to our community.

We got our start in 2013 when our co-founders created Harry's. They built the brand differently—online first, prioritizing direct relationships with customers—and in the process learned they’d created something bigger: a playbook and platform that could help other brands grow and scale to their full potential, and a vision to reimagine consumer packaged goods. Today, Mammoth Brands is a growing portfolio of brands and the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: to create a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. As a company, we’re also committed to making a positive impact and have donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.

About the Role

Coterie is redefining what premium baby care looks like—from performance to design to customer experience. As we scale, distribution excellence is critical to protecting margins, delighting customers, and enabling sustainable growth. This role offers true ownership over one of the most impactful cost and experience drivers in the business.

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded (Senior) Manager, Parcel Strategy & Operations to own and scale our parcel shipping strategy—the single largest lever in our downstream cost structure. This role is responsible for defining carrier strategy, negotiating best-in-class rates, building automated parcel analytics, and ensuring best-in-class last-mile performance across national and regional carriers.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who deeply understands how ecommerce shipping actually works: dimensional weight, accessorials, zone optimization, carrier mix, invoice complexity, and the operational realities of fulfillment at scale. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, data, systems, and execution—turning shipping from a cost center into a competitive advantage.

You will report to the VP of Supply Chain, Operations & Customer.

Key Responsibilities

Parcel Strategy & Commercial Ownership

  • Own end-to-end parcel strategy, including carrier mix, service levels, and cost structure across national and regional carriers
  • Lead all parcel RFPs and negotiations, whether through 3PL carrier programs or Coterie’s own contracts, with a relentless focus on blended cost per order, accessorial reduction, and long-term rate leverage.
  • Build a carrier strategy optimized for our order profile, with deep expertise in dimensional weight, oversize/handling charges, zone skipping, residential delivery, and other cost drivers.
  • Maintain a strong pulse on the regional carrier landscape—coverage, performance, cost structure, and operational tradeoffs.

Advanced Analytics, Auditing & Automation

  • Design and own automated parcel invoice auditing and cost analysis, handling highly variable formats, evolving carrier charge logic, and complex accessorial structures.
  • Build scalable workflows (e.g., using Parabola or similar tools) to clean, normalize, and analyze carrier data at scale, ensuring data integrity and auditability.
  • Define and track the parcel KPIs that actually matter: blended cost per order, zone mix, dim utilization, accessorial rate, carrier mix efficiency, service-level performance, and budget vs. actuals.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights for leadership—connecting operational decisions directly to margin and customer experience.

3PL & Operational Partnership

  • Own the parcel relationship with our 3PL partner, ensuring carrier performance, billing accuracy, and SLA adherence across daily fulfillment operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across carrier routing logic, service-level selection, packaging optimization, and operational processes that impact shipping cost and reliability.
  • Act as the escalation point for parcel-related issues that materially affect cost, service, or customer experience.

Last-Mile Systems, Tracking & CX Enablement

  • Ensure best-in-class last-mile visibility across internal teams and customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with Technology and CX to manage and troubleshoot integrations with tracking platforms (e.g., p44 or similar), including data flow, system connections, and event accuracy.
  • Guarantee that tracking data is accurate, timely, and consistently reflected across all systems so customers receive reliable delivery notifications and internal teams have real-time visibility.

Required Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in ecommerce distribution, parcel strategy, logistics, or supply chain, with deep ownership of shipping cost, carrier negotiations, and operational analytics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in parcel pricing mechanics: dimensional weight, accessorials, large-package surcharges, zone strategies, and carrier contract structures.
  • Proven track record of carrier negotiations and RFPs, including national and regional carriers.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including building automated workflows for complex datasets; experience with tools such as Parabola, advanced Excel, or similar data transformation platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong operational acumen—able to move seamlessly between strategy, systems, and execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear, decision-ready insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing parcel through both 3PL-managed carrier programs and direct carrier contracts.
  • Familiarity with last-mile visibility platforms (e.g., p44) and ecommerce tech stacks.
  • Experience in high-growth DTC or subscription-based businesses.
  • Exposure to packaging optimization, dimensional engineering, or shipping-related cost modeling.

About You

  • You are relentlessly analytical. You don’t just report costs—you deconstruct them, automate the analysis, and build systems that surface the real drivers of performance.
  • You think like an owner. You understand that shipping is one of the largest margin levers in the business and treat every decision through a commercial lens.
  • You close the loop. You communicate clearly, acknowledge requests quickly, and follow through—internally and with external partners.
  • You operate with precision. Your work is structured, well-formatted, and easy for others to understand without extra context.
  • You are technically fluent. You’re comfortable troubleshooting data flows, integrations, and operational systems—not just reviewing dashboards.
  • You welcome direct feedback and debate. You value clarity, speed, and continuous improvement over perfection or hierarchy.
