Job Description

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Owner – EU

As the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Owner at Sysco you will play a pivotal role in shaping, governing, and delivering the strategic roadmap for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud within our EU Commercial Operations. You will lead the long‑term vision and day‑to‑day optimisation of the platform, ensuring that Salesforce continues to evolve as a business‑critical system across multiple functions and markets. This includes driving adoption across more than 2,100 users, managing a network of Super Users, and overseeing the successful delivery of all cloud‑aligned initiatives.

You will act as the strategic owner of the cloud, partnering with stakeholders across EU and US teams to understand business needs, translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions, and ensure alignment with our EU template and governance principles. This role requires a strong blend of product ownership, leadership, and operational excellence within an Agile environment.

This position offers a remote working arrangement from anywhere within the UK or EU and occasional travel will be required.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Cloud Ownership

  • Provide line management, coaching, and development for Cloud Business Analysts.
  • Ensure structured planning, prioritisation, and control of all work entering the cloud team.

  • Oversee the organisation of Agile activity across 26 sprints per year, ensuring smooth delivery.

Strategic Direction & Roadmap Delivery

  • Partner with business functions to gather insights, feedback, and future requirements.
  • Work with the Head of CRM to define and own the Marketing Cloud roadmap aligned to EU ambitions and standardisation principles.
  • Deliver all roadmap commitments without operational disruption.
  • Define measurable KPIs for major initiatives and track benefits realisation.

Cloud Governance & Business Engagement

  • Act as the “General Manager” of the cloud, ensuring adherence to EU governance, standards, and processes.
  • Support business users with ad‑hoc queries and ensure high‑quality communication and training.
  • Manage and engage a network of 30+ CRM Super Users across EU markets.
  • Coordinate demos, training sessions, and change‑management activities to drive adoption.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring several years of Salesforce experience at a Product Owner or Cloud Owner level, ideally within a large, complex organisation. You will have demonstrable experience delivering Salesforce Clouds end‑to‑end and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including user story creation and sprint ceremonies.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience building and implementing Salesforce solutions at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, SaaS platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
  • A solid understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud features and capabilities, enabling you to translate business needs into platform solutions.
  • The ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to senior leadership.
  • Desirable experience with Jira or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

You will thrive in a role that requires strategic thinking, operational discipline, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business units and geographies
