Job Description
Who We Are
At Vivo Care, we believe the best care doesn’t end at the clinic, it lives in the moments between visits. That’s why we’re building something bigger than software. We’re creating a future where care is continuous, personal, and truly connected. If you’re driven to make a difference, we want you on our team.
We’re not here to make care a little better, we’re here to rethink it entirely. From our platform to our partnerships, we challenge the status quo and design for what patients and providers really need. Every team, every role, every idea is part of building something new.
While healthcare is complex, we don’t shy away from tough problems. We stay focused, move fast, and push through barriers with creativity, grit, and a commitment to doing what’s right, even when it’s not easy.
We care deeply about our work, our mission, and each other. Our team brings heart to everything we do, showing up every day to improve lives, strengthen relationships, and make care feel like care again.
About this Role
We’re looking for a QA Engineer to champion quality and reliability across the systems that power continuous care.
You’ll work alongside developers, designers, and product managers to ensure that every release is stable, compliant, and trusted by the clinicians who depend on it daily.
Our QA engineers play a key role in how Vivo Care scales — connecting precision with empathy, helping us release fast without breaking trust. Our engineers and QA team members are fully remote, primarily aligned with the Eastern Time Zone. We occasionally travel to meet in person — if that’s something you enjoy.
For this role, we’re seeking candidates based in Argentina, ideally (but not exclusively) in Córdoba. The position is structured as an independent contractor engagement, but with long-term collaboration and growth in mind.
What You’ll Do
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test plans for our web platform (React, GraphQL, Go APIs).
- Test data integrations (e.g., billing, vitals devices, and partner systems).
- Collaborate closely with developers and PMs to define acceptance criteria and detect edge cases early.
- Build and maintain automated test suites (Playwright, Cypress, Jest).
- Create and manage test documentation and traceability for HITRUST/SOC2 compliance.
- Participate in release readiness reviews, owning sign-off confidence for features and fixes.
- Validate monitoring and alerting setups (Datadog, Honeycomb) from a QA perspective.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement — every bug is an opportunity to learn.
Your work week will involve:
- Collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers to understand new features and define what quality looks like for each.
- Designing and running test plans that validate real-world workflows — from patient vitals syncing to billing exports.
- Building and maintaining automated tests (Playwright or Cypress) that integrate cleanly into CI pipelines (GitHub Actions + Bazel builds).
- Reviewing pull requests with a QA lens — catching logic edge cases and proposing test coverage improvements.
- Documenting and tracking issues clearly in Linear or similar project management tools, providing reproduction steps and contextual notes.
- Running exploratory sessions to spot usability or performance issues before users do.
- Monitoring builds and deployments, verifying post-deploy health, and working with developers to resolve regressions fast.
- Contributing to test data and environment management, ensuring reliable staging conditions.
- Learning and experimenting — exploring tools, frameworks, and automations that make QA faster and smarter.
- Occasionally celebrating wins with the team during demos and retros, because progress deserves recognition.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of QA experience in a modern SaaS or web application environment.
- Strong understanding of manual + automated testing strategies.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Comfortable testing APIs (Postman, GraphQL Playground).
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — A systems thinker who sees QA as a collaborative craft
- Detail-oriented but can still see the bigger picture — patient impact over pixel perfection.
- Treat quality as a shared responsibility, not a hand-off.
- Embrace learning — every new tool or failure is fuel for growth.
- Care deeply about the quality and reliability of what ships, and take pride in catching what others might miss.
- Feel comfortable using AI-assisted tools and automations to make testing smarter and faster.
- Discover, question, document, and celebrate out loud — staying connected with their teammates even across time zones.
- Can survey the spectrum between “quick workaround” and “perfect coverage,” choosing what’s right for today while planning for what’s next.
- Based in Argentina (Córdoba preferred).
- Communicate openly, collaborate generously, and test fearlessly.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated domains (HITRUST, SOC2, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with Datadog, Honeycomb, or Snowflake data validation.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL queries and API schema testing.
