Nexaminds is seeking an experienced Mobile Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in testing native mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of mobile apps through both automation and manual testing processes, specifically using Appium, C#, and BrowserStack. The ideal candidate should have experience in native mobile testing, mobile test automation, and managing testing pipelines in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing or development.
  • Hands-on experience with Appium (in C# or Java) and cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile processes and the role of a Software Quality Engineer (QE) on a scrum team.
  • Strong coding skills in C# (or similar object-oriented programming languages).
  • Experience with native mobile app test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to mobile test automation, frameworks, and third-party platforms.
  • Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Job duties:

  • Mobile App Testing: Perform native mobile app testing for Android and iOS applications using Appium and C#.
  • Automation Framework Maintenance: Maintain and expand existing C#/Appium-based mobile automation frameworks. Add new test coverage and improve existing tests.
  • Test Execution: Pull the most recent builds of Android and iOS apps and execute automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Engineers (QEs), developers, and offshore teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards. Assign tasks and provide guidance to offshore resources.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot test failures, work with BrowserStack support on device/platform issues, and collaborate with security teams on handling service accounts and test data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest testing technologies and frameworks. Contribute to shift-left testing by incorporating automated testing into sprint cycles.
  • Support the team in desktop automation tasks.
  • Gain a deep understanding of business processes to align testing efforts with business goals.
  • Regularly attend team meetings, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with team goals and sprint objectives
