Job Description
Demiurge Studios is seeking an experienced Senior QA to help bring high-quality, world-class game experiences to players. You will be an integral part of a cross-discipline team focused on Dev QA for Around Game functionality. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive in communicating quality risks and identifying ways to fill coverage gaps. The right candidate also has deep expertise in test plan design, documentation and execution. This position is full-time and short-term, with a possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute functional test plans and test cases
- Contribute to Acceptance Criteria and testing estimates
- Collaborate and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders including Production, Engineering, Art, and/or UI/UX
- Proactively maintain testing priorities across all deliverables
- Report accurate defects with technical and visual reproduction steps and assist with defect triage as needed
- Create, update, and provide test status and reports for daily builds, features, back-end systems, and other assigned areas up through and including product certification
- Support cross-discipline team with Dev Support activities as needed: daily BVTs, technical troubleshooting, playtest coordination, regression testing as examples.
- Ensure the game meets internal/external quality goals
Must-have Qualifications
- 4-6 years QA experience and track record of successfully shipped titles
- Prior experience in a Senior or Lead role in: Console certifications, Compliance, Accessibility, Shop, Back-end/API and other Around Game testing
- Additional specific experience in designing and executing tests for game functionality including: Voice Chat, Streamer Mode, Events, Player Profiles, Store, Anti-Cheat
- Experience working under a variety of agile and fixed-time development processes
- Experience with static analysis of requirements and designs in order to identify quality gaps and to inform test design
- Extensive experience with defect reporting/triage and root cause analysis
- Excellent command of test plan authoring and implementation
- Experience with test case & test artifact management, tracking & reporting
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Excel and Google Suite
- Ability to identify and improve QA processes and tooling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a team-focused attitude
Preference to Applicants With
- Experience testing on a range of platforms (PC/Console/Mobile)
- Knowledge of TCRs & XRs
- Experience with Localization testing
- Experience working on AA or AAA titles built in leading game engines
- Experience with automated testing, scripting, tools and/or accelerators
- Experience performing Compatibility, Security and Performance testing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
