At Nuvolar, we’re driven by purpose, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence, and we’re looking for a Data QA Automation Engineer to join an ambitious project in the airport operations and transportation industry.

In this role, you’ll ensure that our data platform delivers accurate, reliable, and high-quality information, empowering airports to make confident, data-driven decisions that improve efficiency and the passenger experience. This is more than testing; it’s safeguarding the integrity of insights that impact millions of travelers.

🧠 What You’ll Do

As part of a cross-functional data team, you’ll design and implement automated testing frameworks, establish quality monitoring systems, and work closely with engineers to embed quality at every stage of the data lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, transformations, and validation.

  • Developing and maintaining data quality metrics to ensure integrity, accuracy, and freshness.

  • Creating automated testing suites using Python and Pandas for data validation.

  • Implementing data validation rules and anomaly detection tailored to aviation industry datasets.

  • Building regression testing frameworks for data model changes and schema evolution.

  • Monitoring and validating data lineage and governance compliance.

  • Collaborating with data engineers to integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

 

✅ What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in data quality assurance, test automation, or data testing.

  • Strong Python skills with experience in testing frameworks and Pandas.

  • Experience testing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Solid understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity).

  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing methodologies.

  • Experience with cloud-based data processing and monitoring.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment testing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Apache Spark testing and optimization.

  • Familiarity with modern table formats like Apache Iceberg.

  • Knowledge of AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).

  • Experience with data observability tools (Monte Carlo, Datadog, custom solutions).
