Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced AEM Solution Architect to evaluate a complex, vendor-built Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud implementation and establish a clear, sustainable long-term support strategy. This role begins with a deep architectural assessment and transitions into a strategic advisory position, guiding governance, platform decisions, and support model execution.

Required Skills:
  • 10 years of experience in Enterprise Content Management, Digital Platform Architecture, or closely related roles
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) across architecture, implementation, and support
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Sling, dispatcher, and front-end integration
  • Proven experience assessing complex, highly customized enterprise platform environments and identifying supportability risks
  • Experience working with vendor-built systems and evaluating transition readiness
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical assessments, support models, and documentation strategies
  • Experience using collaboration and delivery tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or Azure DevOps
Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of the current AEM Cloud implementation, identifying risks, over-customization, and opportunities for simplification and stabilization
  • Define and design a sustainable support model, including internal, contractor, and vendor responsibilities, along with transition planning
  • Develop and standardize platform documentation while facilitating knowledge transfer from incumbent vendors to internal teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX, engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders
  • Lead AEM architecture design across Sites, Assets, Forms, including components, templates, workflows, and content models
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture
  • Establish governance frameworks, standards, and guardrails to ensure long-term platform maintainability and alignment with best practices
  • Provide ongoing architectural guidance on performance, security, code quality, and deployment strategies
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences
  • Identify platform risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs, supporting leadership in informed decision-making
  • Oversee and evaluate vendor and contractor contributions, helping define scopes, roles, and accountability standards
  • Produce detailed assessments, recommendations, and supporting artifacts to guide future platform direction
