Job Description
NVIDIA is now seeking a Senior Architect with deep experience in industry standard I/O interfaces. This role will combine development of chip requirements and architecture with participation in industry standard organizations. This position will provide the opportunity to work alongside GPU, SOC, and system architects to evaluate I/O interface and internal fabric requirements for future chip architectures What you'll be doing:Develop ECNs addressing requirements for new capabilities and steer them through industry standards organizations such as PCIe, CXL, and UCIeDrive internal architecture of our designs for adoption of features and capabilities in industry specificationsEngage with customers and partner companies to develop interconnect strategies and understand requirements for our future AI and graphics systemsWork across architecture, software, hardware design, and verification teams to align functionality, compliance, and roadmapsConduct deep-dive analysis into PCIe performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks , improving data throughput, and analyzing complex memory ordering requirements to ensure data consistency and efficiencyWhat we need to see:BS or MS in EE, ECE, CS or equivalent experience8+ years experienceDeep knowledge of PCIe, CXL, UCIe, or similar I/O interface technologiesUnderstanding of system architecture, virtual addressing/translation, interrupts, and cache coherence protocolsExperience working in industry standards bodies is a plusAbility to identify, gather, and document requirements and write technical specifications and whitepapers for internal and external useExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse technical domainsYour base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.Applications for this job will be accepted at least until April 20, 2026.This posting is for an existing vacancy.
